I have a few wmv files that load only half or less and the last parts are black screen, anyone can tell me why this happens? tried screen capture while the video is playing and those sections just record black

Not a lot of information to go on here- we need more in particular:-
Which version of MEP do you have?
Which version of Windows and is it 32 or 64bit?
What is your computer specification?

Playing with which program?
Does the black section only appear in MEP or is it there when playing in Windows Media Player or VLC?

To John: My MEP 17 plus, windows XP with all the updates and 32 bit. 2gig computer home made with 1 gig ram.
the video will play out on windows media player but when you open it in MEP or any other type of video movie type softwear to edit it thats when it wont load all of it, I tried to convert to another format and it still didn't work. Now this is the only video clip that does this...

I would suspect that part of the problem is that MEP is struggling due to lack of available memory in the computer.
While you have the minimum amount of RAM required for MEP 17, this is quickly used up when you have Windows, MEP and other software such as Antivirus all running and does not leave much for MEP to work with.
