Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

First, it would be very helpful to know a lot more about your computer and the exact version of MEP you are currently using (found under Help>About). This post will give you information about what we really need to know.

However, as a first "guess" can you check under File>Program Settings (shortcut Y), the "Video/Audio" tab for the settings I've highlighted in the screenshot below:

My guess is that at least one of these needs changing. With the settings shown, video "images" and audio waveforms are all clearly visible.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your prompt response.

The version of MEP is 17.0.3.184. My laptop is Window 10 and meets all the required specs.

I have had a go with all combinations of the "Video/Audio" settings but to no avail.

Below is a screen shot of what I get. Hopefully you can see the red marker above the loaded file.

The wave form works perfectly and audio is fine. I have also tried loading some of the Magix demo video and it does the same.

Kind regards,

Matt

@remttam

Hi

Try this solution, although it relates to a different program and issue it may help.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to help me. I have just run a trouble shooting program and it is coming back with "Videodeluxe is incompatible". Is this resolvable?

Kind regards,

Matt

. . . . I have search for the file mxfilerelatedcache.mxc2 on my laptop and I don't have it anywhere. . . . .

It is possible that it is not there because it has not been created so you have no video images on the timeline.

If you do not have Quicktime installed - try installing Quicktime and the importing the video again.

. . . . . I have just run a trouble shooting program and it is coming back with "Videodeluxe is incompatible". Is this resolvable? . . . .

Which program? - MEP 17.0.3.184 is compatible with Windows 10.

What is your laptop specification?

@remttam

Microsoft troubleshooter reports no issues on mine - Windows is the same build and MEP is the same version and AFAICS there should be no issue with the computer spec.

Try starting MEP in Administrator mode - right click the shortcut and select Run as administrator to see if this helps.
