Why isn't apply transition to all objects in the track 2 working?

Magix Movie Edit Pro Plus 2020

Apply transition to all objects in the track isn't working in the 2nd track, I put a background image on track 1, then placed several images on track 2 & applied a rolling transition as if the photos were being turned over like a page, i want all the transitions to be the same but it will only allow me to do Apply to all objects in the track on track 1, i thought maybe it was because i'd reduced the image sizes so the background image showed around it, i fiddled around, removing the background jpg, returned the images to orig size, movie size but it still won't Apply to all objects in the track, the transition timer doesn't apply to all in track 2 or 3 etc. either.

It makes no difference if i have an object in track 1 or not.

I tried it with mp4 clips too, the same happens, everything is fine in track 1 but not in track 2,

Is this a glitch or am i missing something? Thanks

@Former user Gday Gid, I think I recall reading that this is "by design". Objects for transitions must be on track 1.

Thanks 👍 Shame tho, as i mentioned it'd be nice to be able to have a background pic or vid then have whatever i want on top with the transitions, I guess if there's lot's of images & setting each transition individually is hard going i can do it on track 1, export it then import & overlay on the background 👍

AAProds wrote on 7/15/2020, 7:06 AM

@Former user Agree it's a bit of a nuisance. No need to export though, just set up your transitions on Track one, then "Lasso" all of the track-one objects and drag them down to a lower track or choose the "Mouse mode for single track" then click and drag down the first image. The rest will come down too.

Yep, good point, i did that in the vid i posted i think, just a little awkward to alter once you've done that, moved it down, applied a background then maybe done other stuff but then decide you want to go back to it to alter those transitions 😂 It is what it is i guess & i don't do this often 👍 it was just this Youtube vid i made where i wanted to place a few pics in the bottom corner of the screen & have them scroll over. Thanks 👍
