@Downey33

Hi and welcome to the forum.

VPX 11 supports NVIDIA NVENC for exporting AVCHD, h.264 and HEVC encoded video - IIRC the recommended was a GTX 1050 or better.

There are several recent long topics in the forum about finding the best combination of Windows Graphics settings and Video Mode setting within the program for Movie Edit Pro which also apply, to a large extent, to VPX as well.

Thanks John and I made sure to check those first which I did. However exporting to MP4 is not being accelerated through hardware and I checked all the appropriate boxes in VPX. Would you recommend I try Vegas instead? I have that as well from Magix.

I read that the newest Nvidia drivers and cards (I think including the 1080) was not being supported in VPX 11 due to their changes.

Hi

VPX 11 supports NVIDIA NVENC for exporting AVCHD, h.264......

NVENC support for H.264 export is not available - only HEVC (H.265) export is possible via Nvidia NVENC. VPX11 and VPX12 are the same in this respect.

Hardware accelerated export for H.264 is available via the Intel Integrated GPU in both VPX11 and VPX12 but you may need to ensure your Intel HD530 iGPU is activated in Bios / Device manager and Windows 10 Graphics Settings is set to allow VPX to use the "Power Saving" ie Intel GPU.

There are no known issues with 10 series Nvidia cards and drivers in VPX11 / 12 - just make sure they are the latest.

@Scenestealer

Hi

Thanks for the correction - I fell into the same trap as others have when checking what the VPX 11 manual says about acceleration - most embarrassing as in another topic I clearly stated that HWA was only for HEVC and acceleration was for import only.
