Wont start

Ok. so we know the servers are having a bit of an issue, and today I can no longer open Music maker. I did yesterday, no problem, today, music maker refuses to start.

So i uninstalled it, re-installed it and still it wont start. I can see it is open in task manager for about 5 seconds using 9% of my CPU and then it just disappears.

I am not able to use this at this moment in time.

Can anyone suggest as to how I can start it? I have tried running as Administrator, makes no difference. Anything else I can try? Oh my windows defender has it listed so its not blocked.

Please help

@David-Pook

Hi

Did you try a full Restart, not Shutdown, of the computer?

If this does not work then.

. . . . So i uninstalled it, re-installed it and still it wont start. . . .

This can compound the issue you are having unless you did a full uninstall and removed the files and registry items that are left behind.

We recommend using Revo Uninstaller, there is a free portable version which is sufficient, the 'install' of the portable version only puts the uninstaller files into a folder of your choice. Use that to uninstall the program, after the uninstaller returns you back to Revo, use the Moderate setting for the scans for leftover registry items and files. Do check that the found items are all Music Maker related before deleting them.

I asked AI. It told me to rename the configuration file to _old and then restart the program. IT worked. :)
