Zooming on an object

roger-baker wrote on 1/14/2022, 12:20 PM

I am just getting up to speed with Magix Movie Studio Plat 18 (aka MEP) after using the previous vegas creative versions and I am getting the hang of it now.

I can't find a way to zoom into an object to anywhere other than to the centre of the image ising the movement menu.

Any tips from the esteemed experts?

Ideally I want the zoom into say an interesting face in the rh quarter for example.

@roger-baker Hi, in the Effects tab there's Camera zoom, there's an on screen selection box & To - From keyframes can be adjusted for timing,

@roger-baker

The easiest way to really zoom into an area of any image or video is to apply the Zoom / Position / Rotation tool.

Select your image by left clicking on it and apply the effect from the effects area.

You may need to scroll down. Look for the width and height controls.

Place your mouse curse in the middle of either set of numbers and left click and hold. Drag the mouse to the left to shrink the image or to the right to enlarge. Then left click the image in the monitor to drag the image to the area to be inspected / worked on. When finished just left click the >< icon in the top right hand corner or the effect box to release the effect from the image.

Ray.
