Hello Community

"A Thousand Years" is currently my favorite song.  It is written and performed by Christina Perri. This is my arrangement of the song but I mostly stayed true to the original because it is, in my opinion, a beautiful yet simple melody and accompanying chords.

I hope you enjoy and thank you for taking time to listen
Trish

Hi Trishie:

Yes indeed, it is a beautiful piece.  Played with delicate charm and grace.  The melody stands on its own.  No need to change a thing.

A wonderful, warm listen on this chilly Sunday afternoon...

Hi Trish,

This is a very beautiful song and you did a great job in covering it.  I love how you gave it your own little "bouncy" feeling at the Chorus.

Great interpretation and presentation.  Loved it.

Really nice! The piano is as pretty as always, as are the other parts. There are times when that electric piano sounds a bit like a glockenspiel, which of course I enjoy, having played a bit of it in the school band years ago. It's one of those instruments where a little goes a long way, a subtle touch that adds character to the whole ensemble. That's what you always do well: make the most out of subtle things.

I didn't recognize the song title at first glance, but through hearing it I remembered that it played during the credits of one of the Twilight movies. I only know that because I used to work at a movie theater. Needless to say, I tend to prefer your version for that reason.

PS: Hmm, it's been a while since I had a "current" favorite song. These days I stubbornly adhere to the fact that "Stardust We Are" is the best song ever written by anyone, period.

More immaculate playing, with an apparent ease of performance that must surely belie the amount of work that's gone into its preparation.  Simple melodies are often the best, and this one is a doozie.  Nice choice, young Trish.  You know how to select tunes that bring out the very best in your talented fingers.

Cheers,
Nick

if you knew personally I could tell you that I love you and your music.
I am listening from afar and I appreciate the lightness and the quality of music that always transmits great sensations.
you're a musician, I have no doubt, but then what counts are the sensations that the listener can feel, then I tell you that you're great
I can not go beyond !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Trish,

Human and Jar Of Hearts are two of my favorite Perri songs, your beautiful interpretation of this super song without vocals, gets me just as much as the original version.

I believe your passion and musical skill allows you to take a very well known song and make it your own without losing the original artist`s intent. Your ability in keeping the song as emotional as the original without vocals is extraordinary.

Excellent piece, into my fav`s it goes.

Best Regards,

Stu

C'est effectivement une très jolie musique, très reposante et belle à écouter.

Toujours très bien interprétée avec des très bons accompagnements.

Ca donnerait envie de faire une petite sieste tout en étant accompagné de cette douce musique.

Super !
