Hello everyone

"Bumble Boogie" by Jack Fina is a boogie-woogie version of the "Flight of the Bumblebee" , an orchestral interlude written by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov for his opera The Tale of Tsar Saltan, composed in 1899–1900.

The boogie-woogie version is played very fast. Several months ago, I thought I would never be able to play the piano very well because of my thumb surgeries but this song has been good therapy for me even though it has been a struggle.So....thanks for listening and I hope you have fun listening

Trish

PS  there really was not a category that fit this song, so I put it under pop.

Well, Hey Trishie!

Flying high there, young lady!  Full steam ahead...  Thumb be damned!

I know this wasn't easy for you (with the misbegotten thumb and all) Trishie, but you hung in there and stuck the landing.  The original "Flight" is one tough cookie to play as it is.  However, adding a "boogie" touch to this piece is a whole other ballgame.

A deep tip of my hat to you, good buddy.  Well-played indeed!

C'mon and boogie - YEAH!!! I am not a specialist for this kind of music, but this one is famous enough - I know it. In german we call it Hummelflug. And you played it as fast as it should be. Great to have your "normal" thumb back *****

Whatever you play, you make it sound so easy! Like the great Rick Wakeman. I mean not exactly. That's the only comparison I could come up with.

Nevertheless, this is an outstanding rendition of the song. I love it! More importantly, I love the fact that you do not seem held back in any way.

Hi Trish,

Absolutely love this! Always liked the song but with your "Boogie Woogie" left hand while your right flies over the keys- Wow! Blown away.

The fact that you would choose this song as a therapy tune exemplifies your passion for music, I would have picked chopsticks!

Great job, this just flew into my Fav's on its own.

Best Regards,

Stu

Almost more encouraging than the excellent performance of a challenging song, is the fact that your comfort in being able to play seems to be returning - even if too slowly for your impatient creativity.  Another demonstration of your wonderful talent, young Trish.

Be weller, (and I don't mean Paul)

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

I would say that in this performance, proves once again that you are a grand epianista, I would say that you also exceeded.
a song very joyful, but no doubt with a very high difficulty of interpretation
I will listen to my niece, she will appreciate it very

Hi Trish, first I want to apologize for the delay, but the work I'm doing at home I was not allowed to use the computer.
Your song is fantastic, full of verve and rhythm.
I'm no expert, but I think it's also very difficult to play.
In this regard, I begin to believe that the piano is an instrument of your invention, 'cause I think it's part of you.
A standing ovation from overseas.
