The melody is based on "Plaisir d'amour"[3] (1784), a popular romance by Jean Paul Egide Martini (1741–1816). It was featured in Elvis Presley's 1961 film, Blue Hawaii. During the following four decades, it was recorded by numerous other artists, including British reggae group UB40, whose 1993 version topped the U.S. and UK charts, and Swedish pop group A-Teens.

Hi Trish:

Hope you're having a fine Memorial Day.  The weather is stellar here in New York City (85 degrees & sunny), and the people appear to be a little less pissed-off than usual.  (Take that, Baltimore)! <lol>.

Now, back to this classic...  You know the drill, my friend.  As usual, you have selected a fondly remembered, very popular song (probably best known from Elvis Presley's classic rendition).  There was a time that you would have been hard-pressed to turn on the radio and NOT heard this song.

Like a mentioned to you already on several occasions, the crispness and virtually flawlessness that you have been demonstrating over the last month or so, is very impressive (at least to my ear).  With your new system and software, I know that it is quite a relief to know that instead of worrying about "latency" between keyboard and computer, you can now just play.  And, play beautifully I might add.  Also love the addition of the venerable flute.  (Really sweetens the pie).

By the way, that's one helluva cover photo...

So, as they say in my neighborhood, "go on with your bad self, girl".

Your numero uno fan...

Griff

Griff,  I think that perhaps a racy cover has benefits, otherwise it's just not my style!

Hi Trish,

Super rendition, loved the styling you put into it. The flute is a very nice touch and adds a slightly "baroque" feeling to the song.

Brought back memories of when I used to play weddings, frequently requested.

Loved your version.

Cheers,

Stuart

Hi!

Musica senza tempo e senza padroni.  Si presta ad ogni interpretazione e la tua l'ha riportata in auge rendendola attuale stimolandone la dolcezza. Sei sempre grande.

I didn't know that's where the melody came from. This song has always been a favorite of mine for many years. The tones that you selected suit the song nicely.
