Interesting guitar in the beginning, besides my opinion is that the fx on it destroys a bit of the atmosphere....(if there is no effect, you will have to think about how you record your guitar).
The reversed crash in the beginning is okay...but the following drum part doesn't work because of the mixdown: The bassdrum dissappears behind the guitar, the Hihat is too loud. You might work with you equalizer a bit...the guitar shouldn't block the deep frequences of the bassdrum....and the HiHat should be less loud.
The next mixing problem is within the bass. All in all I like the dark evil sound is pretty cool....but it obviously made the bassdrum dissappear and it seems like you just tried to make the bassdrum louder instead of working on the mix.
Furthermore, the bass is only ony the right side....why? You may record guitars twice (four times, eight times) and have one guitar left one right....but having a bass only on the right side is not working at all.
The snare around 1:22 sounds strange....and it is too loud, especially at 1:26 or 1:29.
The sound starting around 1:30 completely kills the mix....it suppresses the bass, is way too loud and harms the atmosphere a lot.
Around 2:04, where there are sometime only some drums and the bass the bassdrum proves again: It can't be heared THAT well.
The HiHat-Thing around 3:04 doesn't work to me as well. Missing some structure here...and the sample is bad quality, you only hear the hissing....it doesn't sound that cool. (And I know the sound, I am guitarist in a metal band for many years now...).
And the end? Just a cut. In the middle of the song. I am sorry, but I do not know why this receives the voring "Excellent". Of course, it sounds cool, dark and aggressive....but the mix is a total mess, vocals are missing, you just cutted the end, you repeat parts often (which is cool with vocals and may be boring without them)....I am a big rock & metal fan and I see (appreciate and like) the idea....but there is a long way to make this one a good one.
