This is a Jazz track that I put together from an assortment of loop packages. I was told that my tracks sound like I just grab any loop and place them in the track. This is not to case, I take my time and search thru all my loops looking for the right loop to fit the project at hand. I am still taking class in audio production and ask that you be honest about your review and Comments. To the person who made that comment : I listened to your tracks and they are really good, but I think you forget where you came from in this art. There was a time when your tracks sounded like Sh-t compared to where you are now. So please think before you speak and try to give encouragment  and advice instead of discouraging comments. Again Your tracks sound great.

Fellow memebers please take a listen and give a honest suggestion or comment.

Hi Dirtzilla:

Well...  Sometimes people can be a bit crude, rude, and quite frankly, downright nasty, in their assessments of someone else's music.  I usually do not offer any negative criticisms about anyone's submissions.  My motto always remains the same.  If I check out a song and it does not please my ear, I simply move on (no comment necessary).  On the other hand, if I hear some 'technical' flaw in a final production, I may point that out to the song's publisher.  Beyond that, I see no need for "destructive" criticism.  It simply does no one any good.

Anyone attempting a "Jazz" piece gets my vote.  The music can be extremely complex, and certainly should not be attempted for the "faint of heart".  I respect the fact that you have arranged a song that is obviously Jazz.  (Whether or not you have assembled pre-sounds, loops, etc., you have certainly given great care in the production values of the overall arrangement).

Finally, keep on improving and always be proud of your efforts.  After all, 'time' is precious and that alone is certainly worth something.

Take care.

Griff

Klingt sehr sauber und professionell.Die Querflöte erinnert mich ein tick an Jethro Tull.

Mit welchem Musikprogramm arbeitest Du ??

I was always told Jazz is a lot of improvisation so Samples are probably not the way to play real jazz.

But I think you did a good job

Hi Dirtzilla:

Actually, "Jazz" music (the term alone can be extremely ambiguous) has many, many meanings and definitions.  There are so many styles, and endless players of those styles, it is virtually impossible to categorize the music.

Depending on the musical composition, arrangement and composer, the final result may or may NOT include large swatches of "improvisational" passages.

Let us not place Jazz into some sort of BOX.  The genre cannot be defined (intellectually or musically) one way or another.  And, should NOT be!  So, be very careful when you paint your observational canvas about this ART Form.

Just my two cents...
