Hello Community Family,

It's time for another Craven Creation.  I am embarking on a new project.  There are members here in this community that have supported me, provided profitable input and critique, and have encouraged and commented on my music from day one.  Others have come onboard as you were directed to my music and have supported me every since.  I am grateful, thankful and appreciate each and every one of you.  I have decided to do something special for every one of you.  I am creating a project called "Much Appreciated" and I am writing a song for each one of you who have supported me along the way.  The first song I have written is called "Griffisms."  This is dedicated to my dear friend and fellow musician Griff.  His comments are always colorful and some of us have begun to sound like him in our commenting so we labeled it "Griffisms."

Griff, you were one of the first people, if not the first, to comment on the first song I uploaded here in the community and have been a faithful follower and supporter of me since then.  You are honest in your critique and comments, and I truly appreciate all you have done to support me and encourage me to continue in my music.  In honor of you...here is "Griffisms."  Enjoy!

A wonderful song that suits our fellow community member Griff very well.

The melody floats along so nicely with a really smooth bass and when strings and piano go together...beautiful.

Many thanks for your contributions here.

Best regards, Norbert

Wow Brenda,
This is another stunning, laid back lick.  It rolls over the ears like warm maple syrup.  OK that might not be such a pleasant sensation by the time it dries and you have to wash it out of your hair, but I hope you get what I mean.Love that groove you get going, apparently effortlessly.  A lovely sentiment that it's dedicated to the other jazz master, Griffster, who will fully appreciate the sheer artistry and talent that has gone into its creation.  Apart from the wonderful music content you share with the community here, providing the endless inspiration only a gifted musician such as yourself can, you have quickly proven to be a generous spirit with your comments and advice.  You help make this forum a more magical place (Magixal-if we are talking branding?).  Thanks for being here and constantly offering such a boost, in every way.

Cheers,
Nick

H Brenda:

First and foremost,  let me make sure that my "spell checker" is on.  Okay.

What can I say?  You're only one of three people to ever compose a song with me in mind.  But', you're certainly the only one to even hint at my name in the title of the composition.  That is awesome, young lady!

Moving on to this song...  A delicious (possibly 'nutritious'?) amalgam of hip riffs, jaunty chords, and melodic flow that is impossible to ignore.  Right from the first few percussive 'clicks' at the intro, I knew I was in for a real musical treat.  And, I certainly love "treats" (especially of the musical variety).  "Griffisms" notwithstanding, you continue to elevate our musical sensibilities to a delightful level.  For that, I am truly grateful.

Can't wait to hear what you have in store for the next 'honoree'.

Thanks, my dear Brenda, for thinking of me in such a fantastic way.

Griff ("Griffster", as my friends call me).

This is beautifil, filled with a sweet soft flow, that speaks with every note it plays. This is a well though out piecec, where although no singer is in the mix, my mind puts one there. And fills the lyrics with compliments to THE GRIFFSTER!

You have done extremely well, as with all of your music, I am always left gobsmacked.

I am unsure why, but even as I hit refresh, I am unable to cast a vote, only write the review.

Hi Brenda

Nice job on this tune honoring Griff.  Liked it from start to finish.  My fav part was when the drums cut out and your strings and lovely chords shined through. I love the sound of strings and keys together

Hi Brenda,

What a great idea! Your first honouree is indeed well chosen. This song with its smooth cool vibe would definitely have the Grifster's head bopping and toes tapping. Wouldn't be surprised to see his fingers dancing away to the piano riffs.

You created a nice loose feel to this song with the bass line and "just enough funk" drums over which you danced with your great keyboard work.

Loved it to pieces!

Best Regards,

Stu
