Now with this quickie we really are talking rough edges, but I'm not sure it's necessarily a bad thing. Reading Computer Music magazine the other day, I was directed to a free voice synthesizer call Daisy (Plogue.com). You can write down the words, broken down into syllables and the voice will perform them to your chosen midi tune. It works as a vst plugin.
It takes some tweaking, and others will do a much better job, but this variant, which is Daisy Basic has a nicely plaintif air about it. It seemed to suit something more downbeat and enigmatic, so I slapped a few simple lines over a repetitive guitar riff, written for Vita Classic, acoustic guitar. Hopefully the vst synth tones from Iris 2 and Curve 2.5, plus the incrementally building Jazz drums (Magix again) also lend an undercurrent of urgency. Those who know me at all will know that upright bass has to be in the mix somewhere too - and is.
More of an experiment than anything else. Thanks for listening, if you do.
EDIT - Feedback has told me that the lyrics aren't clear to understand, despite me trying to keep them simple. More practice and nuancing needed, obviously. It's hard to make consonents crisp, which means some words seem to lose their beginnings or ends.

Tell me You know, please
I must Tell her
