Hello fellow Music Lovers

Psalm XIX was composed by Benedetto Marcello, (1686-1739) .  He was born in Venice, Italy and was a younger contempory of Antonio Vivaldi.

I played this using only sounds from my keyboard (a Casio PX-5S. Casio has come a long way since their calculators and watches!)

A little classical music never hurts anyone, so thanks in advance for llistening

Trish

PS Crank up the volume

Hi Trish:

Very nice.  Wonderful sound coming out of your new Casio.

As you know, there are a lot of pianists and organists in my clan, so this music is not unfamiliar to me...

Nonetheless, my good friend, a fine piece of work.

Go Trish!

Griff

Dear Trish,

thanks so much for sharing this tune.Classical pieces are very rare here, so it is a good idea to present this track. I like it very much. It is wonderful played and I´m admiring your skills.

Sorry to say that this time the Casio sound cannot convince me that much. Maybe another sound - organ -? or piano would be better.

Regards.

Rainer

That new Casio sounds great, just like a church organ. I cannot tell a lie, I'm not a big Classical Music fan, but give you all the ''creds'' for playing a real instrument, and your playing technique is topnotch.

Hello Trish,
but what a great surprise!
This idea shows your great love for music, in fact as soon as I heard the first notes I thought of the classic Venetian, then reading your presentation I've had confirmation.
With the keyboard you can do great things, and your interpretation of this' beautiful.
In version pop, dance, or classical, you're always a superstar.
Best wishes from Italy.

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

Hi Trish,

Nicely done. As others said, you don't often hear classical pieces and this was a nice change. I do love classical music, particularly baroque and chamber.

This would have been killer with a size 10 pipe organ however, your version was very adeptly played and a joy to hear.

Super job, bellissima!

Cheers,

Stuart

Hi Trish:

As usual a great work, from you, i have to say that i'm not completelly in love for those sounds, i prefer the real ones ( you have to form an orchestra ), but never the less your skills, and your passion, and your musical culture are always a pleasure to hear, and no doubt about it that this is a a great work.

All the best to you, Trish

brava..... trish...your talents never cease to amaze .... a composition well interpreted

tingel wrote on 7/29/2014, 3:15 PM

Hi Trish, I think you have reinterpreted a great work. The sounds are not my, like them not but this doesn´t matter ... maybe the factory in a new light tones reflected - but the perfection hear you on .... very well and did a great job ... not as nice as with the garden .. but in the sense of the composer interpreted very well with your keyboard ... Hi Trish!

Majestic piece of music! A little too thin concerning the sound but it fits better in the time of Kings and Gloria! You have made the right one an all is ok! You show me your talent again and it is very good so! Thank you Trish!

best wishes again and go on!

regards Bernd

Like this thing, but...
when I crank up my volume, The deep tunes (specially the Brass) began to overmodulate.
Perhaps it will be better when you master it again and have a look on the volume scale.
The best results you will have with a macimum of -3 to 0 dezibel...
4*
an best wishes
Franz
