First of all, sorry for my long absence.

This is my 2nd annual October mandolin soundtrack. I love this time of year, so what I will try to do each year is make some mandolin music capturing the spirit of excitement, mystery, change, and all that I associate with October. I first imagined the project as a mandolin duet, but as it went on I added more to it, so this 2nd part has multiple mandolins (up to 4 at a time) some simple percussion (the same as part 1), and a bit of ambient sound. I should also mention that there is a little improvisation, and overall it's not as carefully composed as the music I normally make. But it's only intended as a soundtrack, perhaps some background music you can listen to as this month goes on.

That being said, I have to admit that much of this was recorded about 2 years ago when I first got the idea. I recorded a lot of parts at that time, but wasn't able to upload anything in October 2013, so I had to wait until the next year. Then after arranging part 1, I had more ideas left over and decided I would use that as the basis for part 2. Lastly, I made the final adjustments today, and recorded a few more parts to fit it all together. There are two main sections.

Anyway, thanks for listening and sharing honest opinions. I'm sorry this is a rather short piece, but don't worry - I already have another song finished. It will be uploaded at the beginning of November. Thanks again, and God bless.

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

Hi Travis

I'm new here (nah, it's Trish with a new name).  So if I send you a contact request, you'll know who the heck I am.

Now..on to your composition.  I've already stuck it into my favs.  Besides enjoying your amazing mandolin playing, the tune is infectious and downright happy!  I think it's possible to tell a lot about a person by the music they compose.  That makes you (besides being very talented) a happy and generous person.  Generous because you like to share your music.  I hope you get a lot of people to listen to this!

TRISH

PS you may know that I too was gone for awhile.  I still have a cast on my arm which makes it hard to play
