Way out of my comfort zone on this one, but had to mark the passing of the great David Bowie somehow.  Iconic tracks by him mark staging posts throughout my youth, with Space Oddity and Ashes to Ashes forever staying with me.  The way he repeatedly reinvented himself to break new ground was just a part of his great genius.  He will be sorely missed.

Sorry about the singing.  Daisy the voice synthesizer just didn't work for this one.  Thanks for listening if you do.

Also had no idea where to put this, so resorted to my fallback position of ambient.

Hey Nick

An honor to be the first to comment.  I find this a very cool tribute to the late. great Mr Bowie.  I was not a huge follower of Bowie but that doesn't mean I wasn't an admirer of the many facets of his personality as well as the wide spectrum of music he produced.

I think you did a fine job with this, Nick!

Hi Nick,

Those of us that didn't grow up with Major Tom certainly missed out! I admire your tribute to this fashioner of music and pop culture who will certainly be remembered for his countless re-inventions and constantly pushing the musical envelope to places unexpected.

I am sort of glad that Daisy didn't make an appearance as I thought your raw voice was perfect in this context. I felt the Bowie infuence throughout the song in fact, I find the song to be quite brilliant.

No matter where you put it, very happy that you shared it.

Best Regards,

Stu

Wow Nick, this one just got me straight on (good thing I am sitting).

A wonderful song selection and a great interpretation - Nickillus style.

Many thanks for this musical piece - five stars, no doubt at all.

Best regards,

Norbert

This is a great tribute mate. I love that there are actual vocals here. Music with vocals are hard to find here so straight away you get a thumbs up from me. I love that its straight from the heart. Honest, raw. No pretentiousness. Basic yet very affective production.

Really impressive original and creative.

The Goblin King would be proud mate!

Hey bro, nice, you recording now?

This is a great dedication to him bloke, and when ya think about it, your lyrics are right on the money too.

His hidden battle with cancer, yet, he put on the show of a tough cat, up until the days before he died, just after he finished recording.

Even his producer said "It was like he stayed to give us one more cd..."

And Space Oddity, mate, like you, his music truly hits home and is a banger for years to come!

:(

Nice tribute!
