Hi rraud, sorry, but I am new to using forums and well into my 70s so not sure how to post a sample file. I can save a clip of the audio of the worst bit of the tape to post if you can let me know how to do it. Thanks, Steve

@dcasanares Do it. I started using magix music maker about 2 1/2 years ago and I had never done anything like this before and now I use an MPC ONE+ to make beats. I'm 51 now. Use the free soundpools you get with MMM and then take it from there. If

@Gra_Ham Ok, it seems you have various ways to remedy your MKV issue. Whichever you choose, it looks likeyou need a 3rd party program to convert or modify. Re-encoding seems to be most people's recommendation but I'm afraid I'm not one of them. Why
