Although the latest Movie Studio 18 contains a lot of improvements and updates, we did not forget to consider existing projects created with previous versions of Movie Studio.
Movie Studio 18 supports the import of projects created with his older brothers and easily loads the timelined videos as RAW cut into the timeline. 
We know how important it is to be able to import the complete project including effects, title,tracks, etc., so we're already working very hard to extend the import feature to enable the import of full projects.

• To import a project created with "VEGAS Movie Studio" run the software and select "File --> Open"
• Select your project file (*.vf) and click on "Ok" to start importing the RAW cut in the timeline.
