Dont feel bad... I purchased it and have the same problem. Seems like this software is nothing more than a shell.  It may be able to work, but now I can't figure how to get any kind of sound into or out of it.  The instructions are pathetic.  It should have come with at least a demo and a few sound loops installed.  That might have given me a good impression, or at least a little more

This is a super report on how to make videos fly.  I have been a Majix user for years but just discovered this forum and I want to thank you for this good work and know it will be very useful to me.

Most of the information given in this video is intuitive from the layout of the program. Anyone who's used Microsoft Word has seen the compose screen. What is NOT covered is how to apply the titles once they've been created. I've been trying to learn this program, and the demo section is very vague. Do I hit "Apply to All" (all what?) Do I just click on OK? Neither of them appears to do anything.

 There are many versions of each magix product (made for different areas of the world and languages). If you are using a UK version of one of the programs and you try to use material from north american dvds it may not work. This is because dvds from europe and north america are in different formats. I totally agree with the other users, the tutorial is very weak for such an elaborate program. I really wish you had a better user friendly way to teach this program. Help system through the program is weak as well. Can't find out how to remove the black borders after importing pictures. MS PhotoStory addresses this at the first screen and does it for you, very simple. Lot of features, just hard

I agree this company is a joke, with false advertisement, you cannot transfer uncopyrighted dvd to device with sound, the tiny handbook is totaly unhelpfull as is this website, IF YOUR READING THESE COMMENTS TO DECIDE WETHER TO BUY A MAGIX PRODUCT, DONT DO IT, JUST DONT DO IT, THERE ARE PLENTY OF PRODUCTS OUT THERE THAT ACTUALLY DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY CAN THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM.

I am highly disappointed with the Movie Edit Pro 15 software and manuals. The simple burning of an existing video in avi format onto a DVD disk is made complicated and the sound is not even transferred to the disk. The preview before burning but after importing is also soundless.

Good stuff!  The sound editor used in the video is called Audacity.  Actually, Music Maker can also convert a stereo file to mono itself.  To convert a stereo file to mono, drag the file to an empty track in the "arranger" area, "solo" only that track, select file/export/audio as wave (or press Alt+W), select the "mono" option and save the file.  Alternatively, Music Maker also has a built-in

I downloaded  asio4all but i  could not fint the "setting" icon you refer to when you open samplitude 14.  Where is it? Is it in the toolbar for a new recording project, or does it come up immediately when you open samplitude 14?
