RE: Creating a Fancy Title Intro using Magix Movie Edit Pro
@Vitaly Hi, There are 2 different ways of using masks in MEP. The first way, and what you are referring to is done by masking an effect on a single video or photo. See the tutorial indicated below, particularly from 8:30 onwards. You either create or load a mask using the dropdown arrow of an effect, Create effect mask or Load effects mask. This puts the effect onto the track below the video and

RE: Creating a Fancy Title Intro using Magix Movie Edit Pro
Hi and thanks for this tutorial. I'm trying to follow it but there is something I don't quite understand. I'm talking about a small title, at the bottom, that you start explaining from 4:20. I can't seem to figure out how to apply that mask with chromakey with alpha effect. As far as I understand, we can only apply a mask to an effect that has a particular icon (rectangle with a circle inside in

RE: MEP & VPX6 with Pixelan SpiceMaster Pro - Part 1 - Introduction to animated masks for fades & transitions
Hi José, Well done! Now look at the beginning of the video again and you will see that the first method is to simply overlap the two videos on track 1, no need to put the second video on track 2. Your second and third examples would be better this way. This makes a transition and you can adjust the length of the transition that you want. Then drag the Spicemaster effect onto the transition

RE: MEP Split screen effect using Section, Size/Position
Hi Matt, This method uses section and zoom under Size/Position. I could not find a way to use Camera/Zoom and maintain the split screen properly. Camera/zoom is a movement effect that moves the frame, creating the impression of camera movement or zoom. It overrides the split screen part. Remember that the top image, that is the one sitting on top (track 2)  is the one that shows up first.

RE: How to use Effect Masks in Movie Edit Pro
Yes, I agree. Effect Masks is one of the features not included in the basic versions (both MX and 2013). Looks like I've slipped into the bad habit of assuming everyone knows I have the premium versions. My tutorial was carelessly headed, and should have explicitly said 'It was done using MEP 2013 Premium'. -- Terry, East Grinstead, UK

RE: How to use Effect Masks in Movie Edit Pro
Thanks for trying to help me.. but the "help" menu will not let me download any "free download". Please look at this page and down the page You got the comparison. http://www.magix.com/gb/movie-edit-pro/detail/popups/product-comparison/ I got "Movie Edit Pro MX" and I think it is the same as "Movie Edit Pro 2013" on that page. Now You can see that I do not have "Effect masks" marked...

RE: How to use Effect Masks in Movie Edit Pro
That effect mask Oval8_1920x1080.jpg is included in MEP 17, MX and 2013 (premium versions) assuming you've added all extra files via Help > Free download. And as the tutorial says, it's just an example. There are 34 in the folder here. And the post clearly says: "It was done using MEP 2013 but the steps should be identical or very similar in earlier versions." -- Terry, East Grinstead,
