Help uploading a 4K MOV video in Video deluxe 2026 Plus

Hrach-Nersisyan wrote on 10/24/2026, 5:08 PM

I have purchased Video deluxe 2026 Plus and am having trouble importing a 4K video in MOV format into my project. Could you please help me resolve this?

Could you confirm whether the software supports 4K MOV files and whether any additional codecs or specific settings are required? If I need to convert the file, please recommend a format and settings that preserve the best possible quality.

Thank you for your help.

Hello, what was the source of the 4K MOV? I'll do a test here if I can replicate one.

FYI, despite Magix claims in the specs, some types of MOV will not open and need to be converted to MP4, even though the underlying codec is that same, being H264/AVC.

I normally use AVIDemux to convert; it's a lossless process that takes a few seconds. I have the procedure on my website here:

Hi

MOV is not a video format, it is a 'container' file format which supports many different types of encoded video and audio.

Did you get a popup message sying Quicktime was not installed?

To help with the issue you are having we need more information.

The specification of your computer system including Windows version and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full, and also what monitor/screen resolution(s) you are working with if this is a laptop.

I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.

Download and install MediaInfo and analyse one of the clips and post the results, see this tutorial on how to setup MediaInfo and analyse a video clip for all the data required.
