Yesterday I installed Video Pro x17. This morning it wouldn't 'read' a loaded MP4, so I thought the MPEG codec still needed to be installed. I found this explanation:

Please deactivate the program first via "Help > Deactivate program" and then restart it.

If you are now prompted to register, enter the corresponding serial number and the email address you have already used.

Make sure that there are no spaces in the entry.

Start the program for activation as an administrator by right-clicking the desktop icon and selecting "Run as administrator".

And I did that. Now, when starting the program, I get a completely different Windows error message and the whole thing won't start up.
