Free downloads like Design elements, Fade effects, menu templates etc., for Magix edit Pro Premium 2017 download to my computer but will not run.Says that this is only possible after UNLOCKING the pgm which is the download version

The message would indicate that you are running the trial version of the software.
Have you purchased, received the serial numbers and activated / registered Movie Edit Pro?
If not then the extras will not be installed until you do.

If you bought direct from Magix then the serial number is sent to you by email. Check your email's spam filter has not detected it as spam.
If you bought a boxed version, the serial number is on a label attached to the disc sleeve.
If none of the above, where did you purchase from?
Until you have the serial number you cannot activate / register the program.
