Hi

This is an issue with the integrated graphics driver, if this is the first time this error has been seen then try restarting the computer - Windows button, Power button, Restart then start MEP and repeat the steps you took before the crash occurred to see if it happens again.

We need more information on your computer specification - see this topic for details required.

. . . . GPU1 intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 . . . .

See this topic - although for Video Pro X it will still apply to MEP.

Check your Intel driver version and if it is 25.20.100.6444 then you should try uninstalling then re-installing the previous version available from Intel - do not try rollingback the driver as this can cause severe issues.

Hi John: Could you amplify please? Mine is 24.20.100.6286, apparently working OK. When was the update, how was it implemented and what's wrong with it?

@terrypin

Hi Terry

Following Peters topic linked to above a little digging brought up this FAQ on the Intel website.

The Intel numbering system would suggest that the 25.x.x.xxx series are the DCH drivers.

This would then mean the 24.x.x.xxx series are now 'legacy' versions which does not use the new Windows driver model.

Hi John,

Thanks, appreciated.

Have you updated to a DCH driver? If so, which of the several methods in that FAQ did you use? I would think that Intel's Download site would be the preferred recommendation, not 'get the driver from your computer manufacturer'? My PC was custom-built by a local supplier so that term has little relevance!

terrypin wrote on 12/15/2018, 8:57 AM

That's odd. I went ahead and used the Download Centre. That first required installation of the latest Intel® Driver and Support Assistant (IDSA). I then installed the driver update - or that's what I thought - and got a successful conclusion message. But after a reboot Device Manager still shows the same version: 24.20.100.6286

I have updated to the latest IME and the entire chipset, I have updated the graphics drivers also
I was using Majix 2016 movie edit pro but decided to buy the new one
The computer has an updated Geforce Graphics card in it with the latest drivers. All of my other software has been fine. I don't know what else to try. Any help appreciated. I knew my way around win 8 pretty good but win 10 I am new at.

Reid-Fox wrote on 1/15/2020, 11:24 PM

Note: I did install the one update for Movie edit pro but get the same error on startup I reinstalled it after updating everything but still the exact same error on startup. I havn't used the software yet. I did use the manufactuers driver update software to do the intel drivers.
