@Alfns You shouldn't be trying to move things while the video is playing. Try moving it again with the video stopped.

@terra3 Inside the VST-Plugin menu enable Hardware Controller Easy Learn mode. Click on a control you want to influence with your MIDI device, then move a knob or fader on your device. Both are now coupled. Disable Easy Learn mode again.
