remotely support me sort out acid 11 issues

Paul-Sampson wrote on 3/24/2026, 7:42 AM

Since upgrading from7 to 11 I've have had nothing but issues.

From acid has stopped working messages, (50% of the time) to strange audio corruptions like digital distortions.

Ive taken all VST out of projects as some forums suggest but still no solution.

As Magix doesn't offer much in the way of real support does anyone know someone how can be paid to remotely solve issues?

Or are the issues inherent in the software and it is a waste of time and money?

My computer specs are all well above what is required and im running Windows 11.

Thank you

Paul

Paul, move on from this software, sadly, it's a dead program and has NO hope of being updated or fixed.

Paul
BorisFX has acquired SoundForge, Vegas & Acid

The first two have already been updated, and they’ve fixed practically all of MAGIX’s bugs in four weeks (something MAGIX took 8 years to do 😐 😝 😐 )

And Acid Pro 2026 is due out within a month
with a first update that will fix all the major bugs from MAGIX

And numerous updates will follow for all three programmes, with intensive development

I’ve read the BorisFX press release issued in Miami on the 30th
It says they’ve signed up the best engineers from Magix to ensure a step-by-step (rather than radical) development process

So I think we’re finally in good shape!
The Magix nightmare is over
Just a little patience for ACID – it’s on its way 😍

I'm glad you have hope and wish them the best! I suffered way too long with ACID 10. I've finally jumped ship with my remixes and have been loving Studio Pro (Fender, previously Presonus). Stem separation, Splice integration and ability to use modern plugins AND no crashes has me on cloud 9! It's definitely a learning curve but once you get over it it's fantastic! I'll give Acid another try if they move it into the modern era, the work flow of ACID has never been replicated.

Thanks SandyRaw. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know that potentially amazing news!

I'll look out for the update!

Mike i agree acid's workflow is so user friendly and ideal for the live application im currently using it for.

I don't have the time or energy to learn new software..I want to play!

Ah also SandyRaw do you know if there will be updates to 11 to fix bugs or would it be a matter of buying 12 (if that's what it will be called)??

@Paul-Sampson Magix will no longer update Acid. You need to wait until Boris FX releases the new version and then buy it. They will offer a discount for owners of previous versions. It's important that you register a new customer account there with the same e-mail address you used at Magix. Then the serial numbers will be transferred (this can take some weeks). After that, you are eligible for the upgrade price. It might be even cheaper during their yearly Black Friday sale.

No, the plan is to release it straight away

ACID PRO 2026 (by Boris)
First off = it’s the same interface as Magix’s
But with quite a few bugs fixed 😬

just like they did with SoundForge & Vegas

And over the course of the year they’ll be working on the engine and will certainly add new features

As for the price, what does SP. , it's true
Magix Acid licence holders will get a discount; I reckon we’ll get Acid for $80, $85 or $88 – ( it was around $80 ), which is fair

Otherwise, on Reddit, one of the Vegas developers is talking and answering people’s questions about the ongoing updates, the changes, the team and what’s coming up
