    Object FX
The individual object effects don't seem to work for me. Like say you have multiple objects on a single track and you want to EQ just one of those individual objects it doesn't work it doesn't actually seem to do anything. Is this a bug and is there

RE: Rendering video in Movie Studio 18 Platinum
@CubeAce Hi Ray John CB and I use Melda MDynamicEQ (£59) not the Melda M Auto Dynamic EQ (£85), and it does a lot more then initially meets the eye. I use it for compressing/limiting audio to the EBU R128 standard in conjunction with the Youlean

RE: Rendering video in Movie Studio 18 Platinum
@browj2 Hi John. I was referring to not having to use third party plugins. There may be a free one out there for Al to use if he doesn't have one. £85 may be over the top for a one off use as useful as Melda M Auto Dynamic EQ may be. Ray.

RE: Rendering video in Movie Studio 18 Platinum
@CubeAce Hi Ray, MEP has fixed EQ bands unless you have another audio mixer to hand. Do you mean another Equalizer, not audio mixer? If you have another EQ (64 bit), then are you using it in MEP as a plugin? John EB and I both have and use Melda

RE: Rendering video in Movie Studio 18 Platinum
@AAProds Hi Al. You would need a parametric EQ filter you can sweep and keep narrow. MEP has fixed EQ bands unless you have another audio mixer to hand. I am willing to give it a go from my end later if you wish. Ray.

Aside from basic EQ, comp/limiting and the other 'usual' plug-ins and tools for cleaning up live music recordings . I have been using Steinberg's SpectraLayers Pro. Noises and such that cannot be adequately attenuated in SF, can be in SLP. It can

SFAS updated from v.10 to v.15; still a black art, right?
I let a hobby concert project sit for some years because I invested too much time in 'cleaning up' the first track. Hard drive crashed, got a new PC with more horsepower and decided to upgrade to SFAS 15 instead of reinstalling v.10. I had been

Adding a new plugin on the track erases the previous plugins settings
Adding a new plugin on the track erases the previous plugins settings. I use Waves and Izotope, so let's say I eq my track, cool, sounds nice, I like it. I add another plugin (let say chorus, revertb... anything !!) it automaticly RESETS the plugins

SF 15 - Effects Rack devices not working. Unable to preview changes
Running SF v15 on Win10 64 bit with Ryzen 7, 8gb ddr5 ram & 4gb graphics in my laptop for EFP work. Effects like the compressors and EQ's not working. Renders to new sound files with EFX enabled results in no change to the file from original.

Underlying differences between core Samplitude Studio and X?
I looked at the comparison charts and installed both Studio and X trial versions of Samplitude and apart from the limits on track numbers (studio gets 64 tracks, I think, which seems plenty), and a handful of extras, there does not seem to be a

I get your view when it comes to Reaper. I've just reached the point where I'm tired of half-assed DAW software developments. You speak so highly about Samplitude but have you looked at the latest version product highlights? It fits the current

RE: Acid Pro 10 doesn't support VST plugin pop-up windows?
you don't need to manually try to morphpad yourself. It automagically gets added to new audio tracks, and buses if you have the Activate Morph Pads option enabled and have an audio track. You might also need to enable "Add morph pads automatically

However, now you are getting into another subject of noise reduction category tools. With EQ you can reduce some noise but in most instances you are targeting a specific frequency range that the noise is most present. For example 60Hz hum is a

RE: Thoughts on Sound Forge Pro EQ's vs third party plugins?
@Rednroll It depends. Sometimes you have to really think and strategize. You have interviews and mains hum creeps in the audio. Or you convert interviews to digital from tape and there is a lot of noise to clean up, plus hums and harsh tones to
