App Crashes when FX are Used on Vocals

Thank you rraud, I did try volume adjustments but that didn't improve the dullness just increased the volume. I'm not very good with using EQ in this situation but I will give it a go. I can always go back if it doesn't work out.

APU Modern EQ

I like APU Modern EQ, except it keeps crashing & in SoundForge it doesn't allow me to activate it. It appears although x64, APU Modern EQ is vst2, is there a newer version, how do I get it. Or is there another EQ with similar workflow?

CC control of VST within Samplitude Pro X7
