  I have just purchased and installed Magix Movie Studio for the first time. However the software does not seem to recognise the .MOV files in my library. No thumbnail picture displayed and when clip is dragged to timeline the picture is blacked out

  Importing alpha channel footage
  Trying to bring in a lower third video into MAGIX movie studio 2023 Platinum, with an alpha channel, to lay over existing footage. MOV nor webm files do not seem to work. The background doesn't drop out. Any workarounds, tricks, methods, or tips?

  I have done the video file conversation from .mov to MP4 as suggested by AAProds, thank very much that did the trick, the video is now replying at the original speed in my new Magix Program. Thank you all for your kind contributions to solve this

  @johnebaker, understood. Activating the codec in Vegas Pro allowed the same codec to be activated in VPX. @CubeAce, I never paid attention to the codec activation, but I do "need" it since I do edit video where that codec is used by the editing
