RE: MEP Plus 18 - Sound Track Falls Behind
@CarpentersMate Hi Assuming you are still working with VOB's or MPG files on the timeline, then do the following: Select all the video objects on the timeline  Right click on one of them  Select Create (new) frame table (new)  Save the

RE: Export to VOB (for media streming with surround sound)
Thanks @johnbaker and Scenestealer For some reason I had missed the AVCHD option (under MGEG-4 Export). Perhaps having made a few AVCHD Burns (exports) it is now appearing on the list (and no doubt was always there with Display All checked). I dont

RE: Export to VOB (for media streming with surround sound)
Hi @john-m33 . . . . I see two weakness with Magix: No simple export with surround sound (MP4, VOB, MTS or other). I have no problem exporting to MPEG2 or MPEG4 with Surround sound (AC3) from the file File menu in MEP2016, either from a .VOB or

@john-m33 Hi . . . . The only AVCHD option is by "Burning" (no Export option) . . . . What version of number MEP 2016 Plus are you running - Help, About. MEP 2016 has several AVCHD options under export as shown below Default (Intel) codec - you will

RE: Export to VOB (for media streming with surround sound)
Hi @johnebaker, That didn't work. I can't do MPEG-4 export with surround. I do have the 5.1 Option set in Master, but no pop up message. The Channels option is set to Stereo and greyed-out. I do have Automatic 5.1 playback set in program settings. I

Export to VOB (for media streming with surround sound)
Smart TVs are great at streaming videos, but unfortunately there's no Magix (MEP 2016 Plus) export options that support 5.1 surround sound. My workaround is to "burn" a simple DVD disk image (using the DVD PAL AC3 option) and then use other freeware

RE: VOB input has no sound
VOBs are containers and may contain several sound streams (e.g. AC3 5.1, AC3 2-ch directors comments, other languages, etc). Try displaying the audio/video on seperate tracks and make sure its not a flat line (i.e. nothing there). Also right-click

RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
Does anyone see any difference in the quality of these two files? (any difference at all)? Both are the same file size ... Don't be concerned with the audio bit rate - I can change that easily

RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
@CarpentersMate Hi . . . . I'll still need Wondershare for speedy stable conversion but I'll export to VOB with native resolution . . . .   Conversion should not be necessary, MEP15 can handle VOBS directly, if they do cause a slight issue, change

RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
Hi again Scenestealer I want to thank you for all your help. Unless you see other alternatives (improvements), I found a 'work-around' as long as I'm working with VOB's: I can import and edit in MEP15 adding music and sound effects with mimimum

RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
Hi Scenestealer - No No (no USB here) :) I have a 1TB system drive (currently more than adequate). I could switch over to an external 1TB drive but for now would rather not since I'd probably have to RECONNECT all the media ...I'm working with VOB

    RE: DVD Authoring Error
I will keep trying. Been trying different menus, but still the same problem. A VTS_01_1.VOB keeps coming up in the pre-burn box asking me if I want to use it for the project. (I am assuming it is a part of the project that rendered in prior

@keruxjeff . . . . It finishes step 1 of mixing down Audio Track 2 . . . . This is not correct the sequence for a single movie with audio switching and one chapter page is: Step 1 Encode movie 1 this is the entire movie on the timeline Step 2

@shgrude Hi . . . . error messages . . . . they state that there is no disk in the drive . . . . This does not have any effect on the creation of the disk image as VPX ignores the message and continues to create the image. At the end of the image

RE: “Smart render could not be started”
@Richard-hardy Usually when you get that message it is because the file you are trying to SR or Smart Copy has different characteristics to the export / advanced export settings you have set for output or, the file has been altered in some way. As

@me_again Hi Andy . . . . . MPEG is not a container format, but a video standard . . . . Yes and no - we should more precisely define which MPEG we are talking about: The MPEG-1 was a file format/video standard and is little used now - it was

RE: “Smart render could not be started”
Greetings, I know I should really leave this one alone as it's been around in several guises for a long time and indeed answered fully many times, but I would like to put in my two pennyworth if that's OK. MPEG is not a container format, but a video

RE: “Smart render could not be started”
@Richard-hardy Hi If you are trying to burn a DVD disc then there is no option in the program to enable you to create the disc without re-rendering the source video. To add to @CubeAce comment - if your are wanting a direct copy of the VOB as a MPG

    Encoding Standard Definition with H.264
Is it at all possible that H.264 simply isn’t as good at encoding/compressing standard definition video compared to MPEG-2? The reason I ask is because when I encode a 720x576 VOB file in MPEG-4 H.264, the resulting quality ends up pretty rubbish

@jak.willis Hi A bit of a long shot, however assuming you have copied the VOB files on to your PC try the following: Change the .VOB file extension to .MPG  Start a new project DVD PAL 720x576 25fps  Add the MPG files (ie the renamed VOBs) to the
