  Thanks rraud, I'll try your suggestions. I sent the error msg attached to Magix, but haven't heard back yet. And I can't do the 'File> Reset' tool because program won't launch. I'll try your other options. .

  photomanager deluxe crashing

  @SP. yeah it just shuts down completely. Occasionally it will "hang" for a second or so and a splash screen is shown momentarily which has an error code. but that disappears almost immediately and the programme shuts off.

  @Former user Go to Magix.com and log into your customer account with your e-mail address and password and look under 'My Products' for Web Designer. If it isn't listed there, it isn't registered to that e-mail address. This would explain the error

  Thanks to you both. For clarity to the first answer @CubeAce I reset the programme to the default setting and backed up my current settings to Windows, Users, roaming, Magix etc. The settings are stored within the "Cache" settings of Magix Pro X 16.

  @Steven-Wood Does Music Studio simply close itself? Then check the Windows Reliability Monitor for errors. It will record a crash description for every crash. There might be some helpful information in there, for example in which DLL the crash

  Welcome window keeps popping up on startup
