RE: Audio problem with playback of old .avi files
@William-Murphy Hi In my post above I said 'WAV' when I meant the AVI file that is causing the audio issue - the MediaInfo information for that file is what is needed. Additionally if you can upload a short (about 10 secs long), non confidential,

RE: Acid Pro 9 Compatible Video Files
Install something like Pinnacle Studio on your machine (Trial Version works). It will install the Cineform CODEC, and then when you uninstall it, the CODEC stays. This will give you a reliable Intermediate CODEC to work with, that won't destroy your

Hi @Royce-Lerwick I'm not sure there is a single correct answer here, or maybe I'm just not experienced enough with video in Acid to know. :) But, I think you're along the right lines with anything Vegas will play. According to

RE: Video will not load on laptop
Xvid isn't a standard CODEC, and needs a separate CODEC installed on Windows. Additionally, that is a deprecated/legacy CODEC, and it may only be available as a 32-Bit component. I'm not sure how that interacts with 64-Bit versions of ACID

I tried installing a few other recommended codec packs but still could not play avi files in AP8 or Vegas 10. I discovered that I could convert the file to wmv and get it to play in AP8.

@bfresh The majority of posters here will tell you that the installation of codec packs, like your K-Lite, is generally best avoided! They often seem to create more problems than they solve! However, I think @Former user is almost certainly

NTSC 29.97fps in 2019 MEP does not export properly when creating AVI with Lagarith. I have found that the result looks correct with 30000/1001fps, but In a long export (1 minute) it adds a duplicate frame. By matching up the original with the export
