RE: MEP 2014: Many collages broken?
Sorted! Later today I'll try to re-test MEP2014's 3-object (landscape) collages, but from experience I'm sure they will be inconsistent. Well, this time they were consistent. I got exactly the same errors as before. For #8 to #12 there

RE: MEP 2014: Many collages broken?
Hi John, Thanks for going to the trouble of those thorough tests, much appreciated. Later today I'll try to re-test MEP2014's 3-object (landscape) collages, but from experience I'm sure they will be inconsistent. That's one of the snags in

MEP 2014: Many collages broken?
Because of the obscure 'invisible collages' problem I was having in MEP 2013, I switched for the time being to MEP 2014. I went straight to the 3 landscape object section of Collages. Only to find that 6 of the 18 seem to be broken. I'd

RE: Suggestion
Dear George, thanks for the suggestion on opting for portrait, and not landscape. Dear John, thanks to you as well. Regarding the white border, is there an option to do the same with MAGIX Movie Edit Premium 18 ?

RE: Suggestion
Hi Anirban, John's idea is great for a DVD cover insert. If you want a movie poster, I would go with less text. If you want a great cover insert, John is on the right track. Just remember to fit on a DVD case you are going to need the

RE: Copying video effects: unexpected result?
Hi Terry Is the portrait image in it original orientation or is this a cropped image? If in original orientation then trying to apply settings such as height/width to the landscape image would result in the swimmers being very tall

Copying video effects: unexpected result?
I used Copy video effects on the portrait object and pasted to the landscape object. As width and height were included in the copy/paste, I expected to see the landscape changed to portrait (and have to move it from the bottom left

3D slideshow using Movie Edit Pro 2013
I have a collection of stereo JPEG photographs that I have taken with a pair of identical cameras. I therefore have left images and right images stored as seperate JPEG's . I want to be able to create a DVD slideshow presentation that I can show

Is it possible to crop without zooming?
(Movie Edit Pro MX-18, Win 7) Hi all, I started using a new camcorder and forgot about setting the aspect ratio to 4x3 till after I used it several times. All my other videos are 4x3, and MEP didn't complain when I combined one with the

RE: How to fix stretched photos in video
Unless your original images exactly match the aspect ratio you have chosen for your project (4:3, 16:9, or whatever) there will, almost inevitably, be some stretching/shrinking/aspect adjustment required to make the photos "fit". This is

RE: New to Magix
Jay, I was not trying to say that one is better than the other, it is just a matter of personal preference. I usually seperate my audio track from the video mostly because I will often insert a cut away (especially for travel or vacation

RE: MEP 17/MX/2013: Sizing/display bug
Hi Terry Following your sequence I get the same results. I misunderstood your original post in the sequence you were doing things - when I jump to image editing I have a habit of closing down MEP which clears unwanted data stored in the cache

RE: MEP 17/MX/2013: Sizing/display bug
Hi John, Not sure I follow. What 'temp files' do you mean? The steps are simply: 1. Drag Photo01.jpg to the timeline. It's 1600 x 900 and displays correctly. 2. Open Photo01.jpg in IrfanView, crop it to some arbitrary portrait format, and

MEP 17/MX/2013: Sizing/display bug
This one is consistently reproducible here, but I'd appreciate a confirmation please in case it's unique to me. I think the illustrations are self-explanatory, but the bottom line is easily stated: when an object is imported but then replaced

Preview rendering bug?
This looks like yet another MEP 2013 bug to me but I'd appreciate others trying to reproduce please. To test: 1. Place 2 objects on the timeline, e.g JPGs. (Any number gives the same problem.) 2. Open Video Effects > Collages 3. Apply

Changing video to landscape from portrait?
I made a mistake and took a video with my Bloggie in portrait mode instead of landscape. I usually use my Panasonic camcorder but didn't on this occasion :( Anyway, can anyone help/explain if there is any way to change this to landscape in MEP 18

RE: How do I rotate a video clip into landscape? It was shot in vertically. Camera was turned vertically.
If you select your object you can rotate using 'Movement effects' >> 'Rotate/Mirror' under the 'Effects' tab, but I doubt you would want to have standing people etc seen on their sides. I'd suggest making a feature of a portrait image

The video was taken by turning the camera to vertical rather than the normal landscape position. I have a Magic Pro 16 version.
