RE: Simple and accurate method of syncing two camera angles visually
@Scenestealer Hi Peter. Sounds a reasonable solution but would personally cause me problems. In the timeline use the frame counter to see how many frames you have moved the clip. How easy it is to move a clip one frame at a given timeline viewing

RE: Simple and accurate method of syncing two camera angles visually
Thanks all for the suggestions. Is there a way to nudge a video track by one frame whilst dragging in the timeline without zooming the timeline to 1 frame level, and like wise an audio track to less than one frame? @emmrecs Glad to see I am not just

Simple and accurate method of syncing two camera angles visually
Hi I am probably missing something basic but I have a great deal of trouble syncing clips from 2 cameras shooting the same performance. I can not get a reliable Auto sync from the sound tracks and the waveforms are too dissimilar to do it manually

@johnebaker @Scenestealer @RICHARD-BRUNT Hi Richard. On top of Peters' comments of which I agree, that you are losing information in the file if you are not keeping to the same bit rate of encoding, that within MEP make sure your project settings

    Hi Ray, I used Handbrake to give me a fixed 30fps for a file:- GeneralComplete name                            : E:\Pictures\Jeep\Aug2020\Img 1285-1.m4vFormat                                   : MPEG-4Format profile                           : Base

RE: Setting the start point for a stopwatch / time code
@David-Nash Hi David. As John EB pointed out, the options within MEP are more to do with time codes than clocks but both types would have similar problems as they would have to be time accurate effects and as such must sync to the frame rate of the

How do I get MEP 2021+ to use hardware acceleration?
I never had a problem getting the CPU to render using hardware acceleration, in MEP 2020+ However, in MEP 2021+, whenever I try to encode either in HVEC or Blu-ray media, there is no hardware acceleration, at all. I haven't changed anything in my

RE: Adding text where I want it on the timeline
@browj2 Hi John. The reason audio maybe behaves in these video editors the way it does could be because it is handled differently to a DAW. It may be unavoidable. I don't know and is just a frustration for me. Notice when using the scrub wheel or if

RE: Adding text where I want it on the timeline
@browj2 Hi John. There won't be a lag in what you see. It's the audio lag afterwards that I've been mildly moaning about for a long time. When you alter a slider is not the point in time you see in the editor when it is applied. The graphics within

@CubeAce Hi Ray, Was that your answer to what you meant by "control automation ... on effects controls?" MEP does not do MIDI, thus no MIDI controls. VPX has MIDI Time Control only, but that is for linking to Samplitude using LoopBe1 to be able to

@johnebaker Hi John. After you posted your findings I went back to my earlier recording and tried editing that again. It worked. No additional movement of the contents, Audio always in Sync. So it seems that I don't need to see any M= or N= symbols

@johnebaker Hi John. OK, thanks for that. I wish I could understand or breakdown the rest of it. Also does that mean it's only closed at the end of the clip or the end of each 50 frames? What is isom (isom/iso2/avc1/mp41) ? I just chose MP4 as the

@nicolas-r Hi . . . .It may be worth considering using a paid for screen recorder like the one John EB uses but I can't remember which one that is nor can I say it would resolve the problems. . . . I use Screencast-o-Matic, I cannot say if it would

    RE: Problems with footage
@nicolas-r @johnebaker Hi. It could be an intrinsic problem within the way OBS Studio produces its files. It's quite a complex program when it comes to settings. I had a look at the OBS forums and it is awash with people complaining about syncing

So I ran the video through handbrake to make it so the video audio is 48kHz. I still have the same problem. Here is the media info of the new movie: I also recorded another video through OBS streamlabs and made sure the audio was recorded in 48kHz.

@johnebaker Hi John Thanks for the information. The bug was in MEP 2020, and in response I downgraded to my original MEP 2019. I think I tried your trick at the time, but can't be certain now - and I can't try it again because I no longer have the

@Levente-IlyKovcs @Scenestealer @johnebaker Hi Peter. I think it's worse than that. I downloaded the supplied file and placed it into my copy of MEP (I know it's not VPX). But before that I looked at the MediaInfo from the downloaded file. First
