RE: Acid Pro not opening m4a and mp4 files
If it is any use to you, the avi container type seems to work fine in AP8 with a variety of codecs. What is the Avi Container and how do I activate/set this up? I've never heard of that before..Thank you!

Here's what's been asked for along with other info and comments. MEP 2015 Deluxe Version 14.0.0.160 (UDPP3) 64bitUpdated to Version 14.0.0.187. The computer was designed for business so I’m not surprised at the medium range CPU that’s in

VPX and importing dual-stream MVC 3D stereo formats - which work?
Hi all, I'm using VPX-7 and/or VPX-9 (15.x.y.211, latest as of this post) I can load a native MVC (dual stream L/R video) AVI from the Fuji-W3 stereo camera into VPX-any and it appears as a single object in the track, and most editing functions

Hi again. Thanks for the files, although I've so far only downloaded the first and tested it. For that first one, I opened your file in MEP Premium 17.0.2.159 and MEP asked whether it should adjust the movie settings to match the somewhat unusual

@Spad There are significant differences in video in the 2 files you have uploaded - AVI is a container file and can have many different codecs internally. Good file - 552 x 836 60 fps h.263 XViD Bad file - 1768 x 992 60 fps h.264 AVC . . . . I could

Hi. Thanks for the additional information. Can you find, download and install the free MediaInfo utility? Point it to your .avi file and then post the results of the Text view here. That will tell us an awful lot more about the actual file. .avi is

Make Acid Pro 8 support more than one video on the video track.
I read on the Magix facebook page, that Acid Pro 8 is going to be released in the spring of 2018. In the past I did give Acid Pro 7 a try, and I have to say that I was pretty impressed with the features it had to offer. However, the downside of Acid

That all makes sense. World of difference between MP4 & AVI. The AVI is much better. VPX works much better, you can feel and see it using the orange timeline scrubbing tool. As expected as Cineform HD is an Intermediate Codec with "Edit

Hi Greg Not sure I am totally clear on your procedure. You convert the Gopro footage to AVI on your editing PC with a GoPro application - or do you do this in the camera or on some other device? You Copy and Paste the unconverted GoPro files direct

[Resolved] VPX and GoPro and Action Cam edit procedures
Question today starts from the fact I cannot import AVI files, looks like I may be missing a codec or something. Maybe not, that's why I'm asking. (recently updated to VPX9, have not yet installed GoPro Cineform Studio) This is what I know, and the

RE: [Resolved] Updates (.211) and headaches
Hi Greg, Pleased to see that you are back up and running. You have VPX9 if you have patch .211. Magix dropped the naming/numbering a while back, but that just created more confusion, so I guess that they are using 9 in the adverts. Basically, the

Hi . . . . Can anyone explain the relationship of original AVCHD file size & info to the codec used by default by Magix for the AVI container, which expands data 100x? . . . . Surely, it's not improving the video. . . . There is no direct

John and Jeff, Thanks so much for the feedback. Okay, so sure enough the "Export Selected Range only" works appropriately. When I first tried to export to avi, 2 unexpected things happened: 1. The file size went from .57 GB/min (original AVCHD) to

RE: [Closed] Importing a Google Earth Pro created video
Hi m4v and MP4 are container file formats, not video file formats, they can contain a wiede range of internal codecs and it is this internal video codec that is causing the issue. As MEP is saying you need Quicktime, then the video contents of the

Hi @ Terry Virtual Dub has not been updated for 4 years and looks like it won't be, the forum was closed in 2015. If you use GSpot to analyse an AVI file and tell it to render the file, the program will tell you whether the codec(s) are installed as
