@browj2 Would it be better to go for a larger monitor, say, 32in? It would probably block out too much of the view from my window. You know you can buy transparent monitors! 😁 Measuring across the bottom ie only the horizontal dimension, my 27"

@MAGIX_Redaktion The video monitor is missing in the new version. It is also no longer possible to create your own keyboard shortcuts. Furthermore, some users here have the problem that Music Maker without Internet is only usable to a very limited

@me_again Hi Andy, Yes, it's possible. You have to use masks and put the pertinent pieces of the video on separate tracks with a mask in between. Remember that the track protocol is that something on a higher numbered track sits on top of whatever

@SteveCo Hi, Good question that will require long answers and likely some discussion. I'll use MEP for MMS as they are the same, VPX for Video Pro X. To start, no, there is no way to do what you suggest in MEP. Next, to keep the jargon straight, in

@CubeAce On reflection, I'm not surprised that the "transparent" video clip trick didn't work. In fact, I've found it doesn't work in VPX13 with any display settings using GPUs (the "software" options for display settings do work). That's because

@CubeAce Sorry, it was my imprecise description. If I include a video clip with the transparency turned right down as the first clip in the project per your suggestion, then playback from the timeline in VPX shows exactly what you would expect: that

@SevCardy Hi Sev. Second suggestion. Use a normal video file trimmed to length but pull the transparency down to the last two available sections of the slider. This appears black on my screen on the finished export (Not using VXP13 unfortunately)

@DrGary Although I have never tried this I think you should be able to achieve something close to what you want by: Create a copy of your source image. On the copy, mask out the elements you do not want to see "moving". Make the masked out area
