    RE: Preview rendering 'Auto' over-confident?
Hi Terry That's interesting. It may be that shortening the file still puts it within the rendered section in red so it still uses part of the rendered file. What happens if: 1) you move one section outside the red zone, 2) you put another clip

    RE: Preview rendering 'Auto' over-confident?
Hi Terry As Peter says - 'interesting'. I had to revert back to MEP 2014 to demonstrate what I mean with a complicated section of a project, MEP Premium plays this collage as smooth as silk with no pre-render. Note: although it appears as though 2

    RE: Preview rendering 'Auto' over-confident?
Hi Terry One type of large AVI file I use frequently is FRAPS output from Google Earth. I presume you have fraps installed on your computer...or are you just downloading a fraps file? You need fraps or ffdshow installed to play the file correctly

RE: [Closed] Frame rate change after export
Ok exporting to avi had no sync issues but the playback was absolutely horrible, stuttering, flashing borders on the edges of text annotations. The software is really good but it has exporting issues, it can't just be me. Will try again with

RE: RGBA video overlay on existing multicam project
@Hackemesser A little confused here about what you are doing? If I place that on top of the video it shows me an overlap and there i can choose a fade - but actually I want the overlay to be on top of the underlying video and it's provided alpha

Hi @ Scenestealer . . . . It definitely supports uncompressed 32bit RGBA .AVI's ie. RGB 24bit + 8bit Alpha and probably other compressed codecs as well. . . . Do you know when this feature was introduced? I have had no luck with MOV files that have

RE: Burning Uncompressed Video to Blu-Ray
Hello John, When I go to export video, I choose the option "Uncompressed movie", which then says Avi RAW or something like that. There is another option for just AVI, and another for DV-AVI. But, yeah, when I try to play on my TV it says "codec not

Hi . . . . So then, this is not MainConcept? . . . . That is the Intel HD codec. Unless there is a specific reason why you want the MainConcept codec there is no need for it. . . . . Some of my projects have had lots of motion, and the only way I

That is the Export screen, not the Program Settings. Press Y or from the top menu, File, Settings, Program. Then go to the Import/Export tab. BTW, in the Export screen that you show, if you first click on Display all, you will see more

[Closed] Vegas Pro 14 - (topic moved, disregard)
This is something I noticed recently. I've been using Vegas successfully for many years and I have typically used the AVI format with various codecs. Earlier this year I started using the lossless MagicYUV codec (commercial version) with MOV instead
