Fails burning DVD

I'm curious to know about the "stern warning" on the Help manual. I only see a warning about exporting to MPEG-2 format. Here is what the VPX manual says about what to do when starting a project: "Audio sample rate: The preset sample rate is 48 kHz.

The optical systems of CD players wear out over time. CDrs are often the first disks that won't play because they have lower reflectivity. Optical recorders also wear out.

Conflict between Wav files and creating a Wav Music CD
I am using Audio Cleaning Lab 2013 (19.0.0.10) I captured music files from an LP record as Wav files. I exported these to make a Wav format CD (or attempted to). The CD window part of the program was set at MP3 format (must be the default setting).
