RE: [Closed] Keyboard Shortcuts in Movie Edit Pro?
Can someone here help me with a short-cut? I use Ctrl-H a lot to open the audio track and use the Wave file to help me sync the video with other tracks. My problem is going back to simple track view. is there a short-cut to reverse the Ctrl-H

RE: No Hardware Acceleration / Encoding
Derek-Young, I built a new computer with an Intel i7-7700K 4.2 GHz processor, then overclocked it to 4.7 GHz. (It's water cooled) I also added 16 gig of DDR4 RAM, and a GTX 1050Ti SC GPU, with 4 gig of DDR5 RAM. This combination allows me to render

RE: How to create distance in audio?
@browj2 Hi John. Yup! Looking at Sequoia 15, certainly covers what I would consider being a Pro program for audiovisual use but as you say, is overkill for anyone not doing seriously paid work, or happens to have more money than sense 😉. This is why

@FelixDunn Hi Felix. Using the Slider control is effectively the same as using the Drawing tool but not the same as using the Rotory control in the mixer. They all do the same job but only the Rotory Control in the mixer will physically appear to

RE: Crossfades
Hi John. Is there a way to control de timing of the cross fade? like adding keyframes to it? I was trying to do a karaoke effect (really for kids learning another language) I saw this post, but I need the whole phrase to show up, and change colours

RE: Encoder delays video/advances audio out of sync MEP17
John, I tried your suggestion although I was dubious that it would have any benefit. As best I remember, the audio stream is always two channels or more and that these options merely set flags in the frames to tell the decoder what to do with them.

RE: Burn abort (encoder error) MEP17
Isn't MEP17 incompatible with Windows 10? There are about 20 topics about this if you search the topic, including reports of burning problems. Peter In the searching I did, I saw that asserted for MEP17 and even some later versions. But it's not

RE: Burn abort (encoder error) MEP17
You are quite right when you highlight that line from the burn log about the Splitpoint. That was where I started from when attempting to analyse the problem: your project, as originally exported, is too large for a single-layer disc. Reducing the

Hi again. Thanks for all the additional information. I think we need to take a step backwards here. You are quite right when you highlight that line from the burn log about the Splitpoint. That was where I started from when attempting to analyse

Encoder delays video/advances audio out of sync MEP17
This is a fork from the discussion Burn abort (encoder error) MEP17 in which system details were provided. The movie in question was assembled from 11 MTS HDTV files shot from a Sony camera. The files were assembled in sequence with minor edits,

Hi again. Thanks for all the additional information. I need a lot of time to digest it all so may not be able to reply in any detail for some time! However, two things strike me about what you have shown: Your DVD writer can, apparently, not handle

RE: Interleaved Recording - Pro X4
Hi again. Yes, all that makes perfect sense (and those Tascam recorders look very nice!) I assume you use two of them (to give the 16 tracks) presumably synced via the SMPTE Timecode ins and outs? How, exactly, do you transfer the audio files from

RE: Hit a snag using Osmo Pocket with MEP/VPX
I've seen this mentioned on the DJI site from other Osmo Pocket users. Some of the audio problems seem to come from which micro SD card spec you use so I tested if it happened with the highest spec cards I have which are well within the secified

Hit a snag using Osmo Pocket with MEP/VPX
I am trying out my DJI Osmo Pocket at HD and at Ultra-HD and am delighted with it. I'm not a blogger, and my long term use for this camera would be as part of my kit for multi-cam recording of concerts and lectures, presently done with a raft of

RE: Remix Agent - request for improvements
@browj2 Thanks for the explanation, John. At least that sort of explains how you work with audio, although I'm still guessing a bit at this stage. My experience is probably different to your own and can easily look at a sound file and edit to the

RE: Video is slightly lagging behind Audio
@Michael-OCallaghan Hi Michael. The reason John is suggesting to use 'Create new frametable' is because it's like an edge number on old 35mm film giving each frame a postition on the timeline. It gives the program reading the file checkpoints to

Great to have a light skin and be able to use 32 bit plug ins. This is all I asked for to be able to finally transfer to AP8 after all these years using AP7, so thank you! Next maybe also allow the tint on the tracks themselves to be made lighter as

RE: the lack of compatibility of the sound with the image

RE: Sound Forge 10 (PC) file save tasks that cause transcoding or don't...
In audio, a different sample rate than what is it was recorded as causes faster or slower playback.Drift is always a problem, but usually only noticeable when the takes are long, but then sometimes you just get lucky. For perfect long term sync a

Problems with getting individual tracks to be in time with each other
