RE: How to re-encode without losing any quality
I'm sure I will get slapped for this, but here goes :-) Ask yourself what the word encoding means and what the primary job of an encoder is. It is to reduce the file size of information while trying to retain detail. Raw data from a sensor is not

@johnebaker, @gmlotkow I said: That is interesting because Magix say that the HEVC Hardware encoding is only available on a late model Nvidia Card (via NVENC) and then you need to use the Mainconcept encoder to achieve it. Apologies for the

Happens all the time, with different formats, tried .avi which resulted in lower cpu usage, and cooler temps, but then the audio was off sync, fading in and out. I really can't believe this. Trying to dvd now. Update: made a DVD folder with no

RE: Frame rate and selecton alignment are wrong for US standard videos
Ok, the results are that the output indeed has 23.98 frame rate based on the number of frames 110243 and the time 1:16:41.458, but the metadata still shows 23.976. MEP has added 19 frames to the file. I have already done extensive editing on a file

RE: Frame rate and selecton alignment are wrong for US standard videos
OK, I found the problem. I have a video file that VirtualDub shows as 1:16:41.421 long which is 4601.421s, with 110324 frames which has 23.976067 frame rate. I put it into MEP and MEP set the frame rate to 97.976. Then I tried to output it to an AVi

RE: Frame rate and selecton alignment are wrong for US standard videos
The movie settings were correct with frame rate 23.976. When I imported the movie I clicked yes to set the movie settings the same as the import. But when I exported clips or the whole movie using a selected codec, the frame rate was actually 23.98.

Frame rate and selecton alignment are wrong for US standard videos
I am editing a video which has the standard US frame rate for movies of 23.976 and is 75 minutes long. If I try to export a section as an AVI and select the codec, MEP changes the frame rate to 23.98. Then when I continue, MEP says the frame rate

@Neil-Kendall On top of what @emmrecs wrote, which as well as being quite comprehensive, is giving very good advice, I would first like to ask the spec of your laptop. You would not believe the processing power you are going to need or the hard disc

@MAGIX_Redaktion Hi Mathias, I have updated the list. Some of these are quite simple to fix. The list is getting longer: Fix the preview of icons under Templates, Design Elements, Collages - presently shows only the Cover icon - collage.png for all

Hi, We went through something similar about a year or so ago. Most frustrating. Basically, depending on the type of output, either most video players or the tv's do not like videos that have been exported in portrait mode. The original files seem to

RE: How do I make LOGO STINGERS
Hi, Group = Link. The correct term is Group.   As in almost all Windows programs, to select more than 1 thing, hold down the Ctrl button and click on each one. It will highlight or, in MEP, turn yellow. If, when you select one object in MEP, others

RE: Movie Edit Pro is not importing the full length of my recording.
I cannot change the 320kb/s per second. It does not allow me that option. It may be due to the fact I am recording gameplay video, which sometimes uses surround sound. I use a headset. As for the 161 kb/s, I used it to try to match the bit rate of
