RE: Many effects aren't working. Movie Templates causing program crash.
Hi John / johnebaker, To be honest my understanding of computers is rudimentary at best.. I realise that configurations of hardware on different platforms are many and varied.. it's one of the reasons I chose a laptop.. everything is prebuilt,

RE: Many effects aren't working. Movie Templates causing program crash.
@Deltani Hi and welcome to the forum From the comment by @CubeAce . . . . The problem may well be your Intel Processor graphics chip. It's possible Movie Edit Pro can't make use of it. . . . It is quite possible that, as this is a laptop with a RTX

RE: How do I get MEP 2021+ to use hardware acceleration?
Thank you. I tried it last night, after reading your suggestion, not having done it for previous versions, (It just worked fine on it's own with MEP 2019+ and 2020+), but then everything went nuts. My computer shut down and wouldn't start up again.

RE: ACCESS_VIOLATION error in Magix Video deluxe Premium 2020
@Jan-Mol Hi The programs issue is with the Intel drivers for the processors integrated GPU the Graphics HD 630 - this may be caused by the installation of the GT 1030 disabling the Intel GPU. If you are installing the NVidia solely for Video deluxe

RE: New Move Edit Pro 21 won't load old projects properly
@chadbresson Hi Thanks for confirming that you are now OK, however do note what I said about Hardware Acceleration, export times for mp4, AVCHD and HEVC will be extended, possibly by as much as 10 x or more than the actual project length. John EB

RE: Problems with footage
@CubeAce Hi Ray Earlier you said: - I have found the only way to make an OBS file editable in MEP or VPX is to export the file via MEP and export it as an MP4 file (do not select an output that give an m2ts file or this will not work) and use those

RE: VPX - I want to record and edit for Youtube and use Smart Render?
After fiddling with everything this morning, I was finally able to repeat @johnebaker's results, checking the smart-copy checkbox, and immediately getting an error when I tried to use my existing footage. I had never realized that the "Presets"

RE: Movie Edit Pro 2021 is out - New features
@johnebaker Greetings John, You are correct when you say "nowhere does it say MEP will use a Nvidia for acceleration of exports" but the same can be said of Intel being required for acceleration of exports. It doesn't say anywhere in the sales blurb

RE: Movie Edit Pro 2021 is out - New features
Greetings, thought I'd ask this here as my query pertains to MEP 2021; apologies if I'm wrong. A couple of weeks ago my GeForce GTX 750ti graphics card decided it didn't like me and refused to do it's job so I bought a GeForce RTX 2060 as another

RE: VPX - I want to record and edit for Youtube and use Smart Render?
@johnebaker I think where VPX seems to be dropping the ball (not sure about MEP), is making it clear what needs to be done in order to achieve smart copying and/or smart rendering. If VPX can actually smart render h.264 content (or as it calls it,

RE: Many, many things wrong
@DBoydNL Hi . . . . I guess next time, I need the guy with the camera to record at a lower quality/resolution. . . . That would not be necessary better to record in higher resolution and down scale the export than trying to upscale lower resolution

RE: Many, many things wrong
@DBoydNL Hi, I strongly suggest that you read the manual, look at the tutorials in Magix.com, look at my tutorials on Getting Started in MEP and Basic Editing Parts 1 and 2. As you were told, VDL in the English speaking world is Movie Edit Pro or

RE: VPX - I want to record and edit for Youtube and use Smart Render?
@CptSpaceToaster Hi . . . . all avenues for smart rendering are going to have to ignored or marked not-possible in VPX if the source footage . . . . To be more specific any video format, that does not meet the strict conditions for Smart copy to

RE: With i7-6700k+1080GTX the rendering/mixdown is very slow
@Downey33 @johnebaker Hi VPX 11 supports NVIDIA NVENC for exporting AVCHD, h.264...... NVENC support for H.264 export is not available - only HEVC (H.265) export is possible via Nvidia NVENC. VPX11 and VPX12 are the same in this respect. Hardware

@Downey33 Hi and welcome to the forum. VPX 11 supports NVIDIA NVENC for exporting AVCHD, h.264 and HEVC encoded video - IIRC the recommended was a GTX 1050 or better. There are several recent long topics in the forum about finding the best

RE: Movie Edit Pro 2021 is out - New features

RE: Magix Movie Edit Pro 2013 Plus - Bad DVD Burn
I'm not an MVP user but it looks like you tried to burn a DVD instead of AVCHD disc so yes you probably used the wrong disc selection. But why upscale your SD? Blu-ray players generally do a better job of upscaling SD DVD discs than most software
