RE: DBK error MEP 17
The first couple of lines of that log appear to be telling you that there's no disc in the drive, so can we first eliminate that? If there was a disc, try changing it for a different type. Failing that, can you successfully play the DVD folder

RE: have been using MEP2013 with no burning problems, Now bought MEP15 and insits on burning PAL Disks
Bummer! Did you try the latest patch, 14.0.0.172? Did you check everything, from the source file, project settings, burn settings, advanced burn settings (that is where I had something go wrong - on the second screen of the Advanced, a setting

RE: Not burning to disk - can I save rendered files to pc?
Hi, Yes. In the Burn parameters (after the menu is done) click on Encode, give it a location, and burn. Don't put a DVD in the burner. The VOB files etc., will all be encoded to the location that you determine. Then you can use another program

RE: have been using MEP2013 with no burning problems, Now bought MEP15 and insits on burning PAL Disks
Hi Terry: I think I found something interesting re MEP15 NTSC Burn issues. See attached images. Seems the menu is being generated as a PAL file but the VOB files are NTSC. Trying this to a DVD-RW is giving me errors, not sure why, I have never

Hi, As you'll probably have seen from those previous posts you mention, I don't have MEP 2015. Hopefully someone who does will be along soon. But AFAICT it seems that you're using the latest patch which is generally regarded as having solved

OK, as mentioned a few days ago, I assumed you'd promptly installed the patch. For anyone else who ends up here re this issue, it does indeed fix the NTSC problem we've been discussing for weeks. Here's an extract from an email I received

RE: DVD created on MEP2015 Pro will not play on all dvd players
I need a simpler explaination... I found the vob files... That Disc images label was a clue! So the cause of your problem is identified: your DVD is PAL, not NTSC as you intended. I don't use MEP 2015 myself so

RE: DVD created on MEP2015 Pro will not play on all dvd players
Hi, Players are inconsistent about playing PAL and NTSC. Some play both, some play one or the other. So one possibility you might eliminate is that your NTSC DVD really is NTSC and not PAL. There have been recent discussions

RE: finished project pixalated menu
I think it's probably an issue of size and aspect ratio. Also, downsampling of a large image is best done externally, before importing to a PAL DVD project in a video editor. So in your image editor I'd try cropping and/or resizing your menu

RE: VPX6 Encoded files for DVD juddery, encoding took very long, NeatVideo plugin may be the cause
Hi John C.B . . . . My conclusion is that it is NeatVideo that is causing the tremendous slow down. However, I don't have an explanation for the juddery VOB file, other than . . . . Looking at everything you have tried I would agree with you

VPX6 Encoded files for DVD juddery, encoding took very long, NeatVideo plugin may be the cause
Hi, I'm using VPX6, version 13.0.5.9. I have a 2 movie project, 50 + 27 minutes, all 1920x1080 that I burned 2 months ago and it took about 2-3 hours to encode the files for DVD NTSC 720x480, 29.97fps, and the quality was good. Burning

RE: Burning Movie to DVD
Hi, Re that MEP message, I'm sure you've seen by now that its text (the only imporant part) is unreadable. You could have avoided that by cropping your full screen capture. However, I recognise it anyway, as this question crops up fairly often.

RE: MEP2015 dvd burn problem
I'm glad this topic cropped up because I'm about to burn my first NTSC DVD in MEP 2014 to send to a USA friend. I've always burned Standard DVD PAL and for NTSC I'm not confident about choosing from this list: Or for better quality:
