Collaboration with Premiere Pro editors - best export/import settings
In this "stay at home" Covid-19 era, I am working in VPX while my primary collaborators have Adobe Premiere Pro. We have been exchanging files back and forth, exporting as MP4, full HD (1080i, 1920x1080, 29.97), via h.264. Is this optimal? Is this

@CubeAce Hi Ray . . . . So that does go with my initial findings, yes? . . . . Modified 6/4/2020 - have just seen your posts further down the page - if you mean: placing MEP on the NVidia monitor then no, it makes no difference in the export

@CubeAce@CubeAce Hi Ray Can you include a set of test conditions and the results you get in a text file or PDF so we are all singing on the same page when testing. . . . . From there we could add some agreed effects to each or even apply these to

RE: 36 Hours of Testing MEP Premier Settings For Playback and Export.
@CubeAce @johnebaker I feel like I have done 36 hours of testing on this one myself! I created a 2min project using 8x crossfaded AVCHD 1080 50P clips from a Panasonic and Sony camera and encoded H.264.mts and HEVC .MP4 at the same res. and frame

@Coldsnap Can you also tell us the exact format of the video files you are using? The mention of 1440 30fps suggests they may be AVCHD. This is a format which can cause problems for video editing programs because they are "compressed" and must be

@JAMES-COLLINS Please guide us through your steps and selections when creating the DVD. As you have still not provided any relevant details, helping you is still pretty much a guesswork. But your information that the DVD works on PC and BlueRay

    RE: VPX11 Patch 17.0.3.55
@gmlotkow Hi Greg The MP4 version looks far better at full screen than the m2ts file, no sign of artefacts, may be because of the lower compression compared to that of the m2ts file which I assume was one of the AVCHD presets. HTH John EB

@CubeAce Hi Ray First I need to point out that the Default MP4 encoder in MEP is only selectable to carry out one pass encoding. The Mainconcept encoder can do 2 pass but I have never seen the need to go there as it is really only useful if you are

. . . . "MPEG-4 (AVCHD)", the audio is set to AC3 which goes up to 384 . . . . That is because AVCHD supports 5.1 Surround Sound and needs the higher bitrates to handle the 6 channels. Yes, and also AAC is an Advanced Audio Codec which presumably is

HEVC (and MP4) audio bitrate over 192kBit/s?
I recently purchased the HEVC codec plugin for MEP to be able to output high video quality with lower file sizes than MPEG-4. I've been using both, and was hoping someone could answer two questions: 1. I'd like to set the audio bitrate to 256 or
