    Can Magix detect a DV camera through Parallels on Mac.
    Can anyone tell me if a DV camera through connected on the Firewire port on a MacBook through Parallels software can be detected?  I have tried with XP and Windows 7 without any luck.  The message is : Could not connect to selected device

    tony,   I not sure if there is a way to directly 'record' video into a MEP14 project but you should certainly be able to record your performance using a video camera and then simply import that into MEP to combine it with your backing

    Get the latest version of Quicktime for the mov import.  It maybe that your camera produces strange or unclear header information in the mov files. If so you could try running the files through the SUPER freeware. Click on stream copy for audio
