  [Solved] Savaing MP3 Files seems to lengthen time.
  I am not sure if this is new, or I just noticed it, but when saving as MP3, Sound Forge seems to add time to the front and back of my file. For example, if I trim a file to some length X, or stretch (reduce) the time to X, when I save as an MP3

  @jesse-c Since the software is now nearly 15 years old, I don't think this is possible any longer. But you should be able to export as WAV and then use a free tool like XMedia Recode to convert your WAV files to MP3. This should work without problems

  @rexQue Other editors likely convert the compressed formats as well to an uncompressed format on the fly and store that in RAM or some temp folder. Sound Forge doesn't do that if the option isn't enabled. So I'm not sure why it's not working for
