RE: [Solved] Soundforge Pro 18 automatically changing the sound of my files
@Dave_W Don't edit MP3 files. Always convert them to WAV first or enable in the Sound Forge program preferences to proxy compressed file formats. MP3 is used as an end consumer format for playback. My guess is, that editing MP3 files in modern

@Greg-Gordon Looks good so far. Stereo audio with 16 Bit, 44.1 kHz. In which directory are you trying to save your MP3? What are your MP3 settings? Can you show us also a screenshot of your export dialog?

RE: Sound Forge 17 not loading on Windows 11
Hi @Justin-Brummer you can try resetting Sound Forge and clearing the cache. 'File> "Reset all preferences and clear cached data" I do not think the 'Proxy compressed formats' setting affects encoding, though it often resolves MP3 playback

RE: Audio conversion math errors?
@Karl-Diez Hi In addition to @browj2 's comment, I would advise you not to use mp3 for video editing where there is a need for synchronisation to the video. MP3's are a compressed 'final product' audio format and suffer from going out of sync when

The other issue involving no more MP3 activity on one PC is something else. Try copy/paste the 'mp3plug2' folder files (in 'FileIO Plug-Ins') from one PC to the other.

RE: MP3 conversion glitches
Actually, correction. I used SF18 to edit the WAVs, but with the new batch converter being terrible, I used SF14's Batch Converter to create the MP3s. Looking into it, this means I used the LAME encoder. Interestingly, I was getting the same results

Audio conversion math errors?
I record live shows multi-track using a Mackie DL32R. I import the raw tracks to Pro tools in my studio for mixing. The mix is saved as .mp3 and .wav files. When I import the audio .mp3 to Magix, align the start of each wave forms, the files no
