RE: How do I change background color on a simple text layer?
Hi . . . . With your method you are using a premade image, and the tests I have conducted using that approach has been dubious at best. I would really prefer to set the color directly within the program . . . Can you explain what you mean by

RE: How do I change background color on a simple text layer?
Emily, As Terry just said, his method is using standard Magix tools. I think you are asking '...directly within the Title dialog window.' which is not possible because of the way MEP titling works: Titles, as they appear on the timeline, are

How do I change background color on a simple text layer?
Hi, When I add a text-layer I want to change the background color from the standard black, to a color of my choosing, but when I select a text and click on "Advanced..." I only get to choose between black and white. How do I select a RGB

RE: Better comic word balloon?
FriendlyFloyd, Entirely possible, but with some complications depending on whether you want a custom text ballonn (or any other overlay FX) to be available with one click from an effects menu or not. Everything there is controlled by a .ini file

RE: Title Effects
Anirban, It's not really clear to me exactly what you want to achieve. I understood that you were asking for shiny text, but it seems to me that the text in your example is essentially static, with slow in/out fades. The effects appear to be

RE: Why doesn't clicking in the Record button start the video "capture" procedure?
Carl: Sorry, that was confusing. In my attempts to get the programme to record I tried a few times. Sometimes I could see the scene in the preview screen after I lined it up. At other times the screen was black and just turned off (went grey like

RE: Menus - How Can I Use A Plain Background?
TheArtfulDoger, Wow! Two answers come in while I type. @John, I tried your suggestion and it changes the color of the entire background, not just the button/text area. :-( This is my contribution to the discussion (with late

Menus - How Can I Use A Plain Background?

RE: I cannot insert a title. I follow the instructions and when I press 'T' a black title box appears. I type in my title and press the arrow. A clear, resizeable box appears, but no title. I click the preview screen but the box disappears.
Hi. I don't have MEP2013 so am not sure exactly what you mean by "press the arrow". The most common reason, IME, for titles to "disappear" is because the font colour is not one that can be seen against the colour of the background, e.g. Black

Alpha Effect Text Wont Export!
Ok. I am very frustrated. I've been working on a film that's about an hour long. I'm working in Magix Movie Edit Pro 14. I just finished adding 82 quotes to the film, using the alpha effect. This is the first time I have tried the alpha effect. I

RE: Text Wont Appear with Alpha Effect
jmorrell, No problem here using MEP14. Export displays just as seen in the preview window. How are you introducing your texture? Note that the title with alpha effect added goes between the texture image and the background. See also here

RE: When I use the alpha option to give text color and texture, there is only texture and no color.
jmorrell, Assuming you meant '...take the color and texture from (the picture)...', I think all you need to do is apply the alpha effect to your title, not the picture below it. Alpha effect makes that track control whether you see the track

RE: Paste text into Scrolling Credits in Magix Video Edit Pro 2013?

RE: Movie Edit Pro 2013 - how to rotate image around specific point?
I've a different idea: Working with a text object in MEP 2013 I find that rotation is about the center of the object, not the center of the screen... ...so, by judicious addition of leading or trailing spaces (which can be of a different

How do you display track curves on video track?
