Rescue Your Videotapes! - easycap video adapter driver software failed to install

Why when i save the recording as an MGX file does it save it as a Mufin MusicFinder File which cannot be opened?

Why is there a line at the bottom of the screen?

I'm a new user. Installed software and drivers fine. I recorded 20 minutes of VHS tape successfully to PC and now pulling my hair out trying to do my first edit. I import the clip ok. I could not perform regroup scenes in either .mxv or .dip format.
