I do not recall any reports of this occurrence with PCM files, so it likely is a lossy file issue. As @SP. stated, enable "Always proxy compressed formats" in the "Options> Preferences> General" menu. Or.. render a PCM (wave) file and resample

@gregory-battaglia Yes, the dvd is that big. It also includes all demo projects and Soundpools which take up a lot of space. Usually you would manually download this via the Help menu.

I had the same problem. I went to the Help menu and saw "Download Instruments and Loop Collections" at the bottom. I figured, what the heck. Clicked on it and about 10 minutes later everything was back.

@BriceMD Zip files can be extracted via the right click menu by Windows. Simply extract all files inside to a folder of your choice. You can then drag and drop the extracted files from Windows Explorer into your project.
