RE: Is there a way to make sound effects in movie edit pro?
Hi, browj2 has the right answer. To add to his comments, there are many sites that offer free, inexpensive paid, and full (more expensive) ways to download sound effects. But, have you ever thought of using something like the Zoom H1 recorder

RE: MEP-MX does not seem to support NTSC 1080 Progressive video mode for "Movie settings"?
Hi AFAIK NTSC 1080p is not a NTSC TV standard - 1080i, 24p, 60p and 720p are the only HD NTSC standards I can find - these are available in the movie settings. . . . . I thought that only very low-end consumer camcorderes used interlace mode

RE: Can I add a running timestamp to the time lapse movie ?
Hi . . . . . Digital clock would be the easiest workaround. . . . . An analogue clock will be better - if you include the digital clock in the scene while videoing this may not be ideal due to strobing ie parts of the digits will be missing

RE: I have lots of Super 8mm tapes and the camcorder is now showing them jumping / static. Are the tapes bad or the camcorder or can you tell by description?
Hi, I am going to assume that you mean Hi 8 video tapes and not Super 8. Super 8 is a film format and Hi 8 is a video format. If you indeed have the Hi 8 video format, in your camcorder, fast foreward to the end of the tape, then rewind it
